VesterbyCrea.No.52.Cardigan is a cardigan worked in a half brioche cable pattern.

The cardigan is worked from the top down with saddle shoulders. The shoulder sections are worked first, with increases worked continuously and the half brioche cable pattern centred on each shoulder.

The cable pattern continues down the sleeves. Stitches are then picked up along each shoulder section to work the front pieces. The front pieces are worked flat in the half brioche cable pattern, with increases shaping the neckline.

The back is formed by picking up stitches along the shoulder sections and casting on stitches between them. The back is worked flat in the half brioche cable pattern.

The front pieces are then joined to the back, and the remainder of the body is worked flat in the half brioche cable pattern. The body is finished with a ribbed hem and an Italian bind-off.

Stitches are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round in the half brioche cable pattern.

The sleeves are also finished with ribbing and an Italian bind-off. The neckband is worked flat in ribbing by picking up stitches along the neckline.
